Everything you need to set up, fill, and care for your MelonFrame.
Set up your MelonFrame in four steps.
Follow these the first time you use your frame. The whole process takes about three minutes — watch the video or follow along below.
Power on the frame
After unboxing, switch the back toggle to ON. A QR code for Wi-Fi setup appears on the display.
Download the app
Install the MelonFrame app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Connect to Wi-Fi
Open the app, tap “+” top right, choose Add a frame, scan the QR code, pick your network and enter the password.
Wait for confirmation
The app confirms once Wi-Fi is connected and your frame has been added successfully.
The controls on the back.
From left to right: USB-C charging port, Wake, Factory Reset, Wi-Fi Reset, Reset, and the On/Off switch.

Wake Press & release
Wakes the frame and re-establishes the Wi-Fi connection so it can be controlled from the app.
Reset Press & release
Reboots the device — also used to power on after a low-battery shutdown and recharge.
Factory Reset Hold & release
Erases all images and restores the original factory settings. Make sure the frame is awake, then hold for about 15 seconds until the QR code appears. If it doesn't, briefly press the Reset button and release — the QR code will then appear.
Wi-Fi Reset Hold & release
Clears the current Wi-Fi configuration so you can set it up again. Frame must be awake; hold for about 15 seconds until the QR code appears.
On / Off switch
Master power. Keep it On for normal use — it deep-sleeps to save energy. If the frame is asleep, wake it with the Wake button or a tap on the front, not this switch. Only switch Off for shipping or long-term storage.
Tap the frame to control it.
Beyond the buttons on the back, MelonFrame responds to taps the front mat or the top of the frame.
Front tap Single tap
Tap the front mat or the top of the frame once to wake it from sleep — you'll hear a beep to confirm.
Right side Double-tap
Double-tap the right side of the frame to show the next image.
Left side Double-tap
Double-tap the left side of the frame to show the previous image.
